PATRICK O'BRIEN

Patrick is the CEO and Founder of Greenwich Consulting Group.  He has spent 30 years in the financial services industry with a specific passion for insurance.  As an advisor to Boards and CEOs, he has led some of the largest searches in the sector including the CEO for a Fortune 100 property & casualty company, a FTSE 100 insurer, and a Fortune 250 bank.  He regularly consults with companies looking to add both executive and Board talent and has completed over 300 searches, including more than 50 Board searches and more than 15 Group CEO searches.

Prior to starting his own firm, Patrick led the global insurance practice of one of the leading executive search firms.  He started his career at General Electric working in their insurance and consumer finance divisions. In his last role with GE, he was CEO of Partnership Marketing Group, a division he helped sell to Allstate.  He integrated that business and became a Divisional President with the company.

Patrick has an MBA from Columbia University, a Masters in Fire Protection Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, and a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.  Originally from Boston, he now calls Greenwich, Connecticut home where he lives with his wife and three children.
